This report was written by one of our customers, Peter S. who joined Desirous Party, Kasidie.com and Hedo Online as well as a whole bunch of regular Dream Pleasure Tours customers for the lifestyle takeover at Ceiba del Mar Resort in Mexico. Here is what Peter has to say about the resort:

First, the resort:

It's absolutely beautiful! A small boutique of 88 rooms set in 5 buildings, 100% with ocean views. Wonderfully appointed, all with hammocks on the balcony. Bed linens were luxurious, and the rooms cleaned twice daily. It had a flat screen tv, but we have no idea if it worked as we were on the beach, in the pool, in a restaurant, or dancing until we collapsed every night. The hotel gym is one of the best we've ever seen, and the spa is elegant and inviting. Yep, internet access needs some work, and there are some very minor flaws, but overall this place is amazing. The beach (unlike Desire) is wide, powder fine sand and cleaned constantly throughout the day.

The staff:

It's not easy going from a vanilla (non-clothing-optional) resort to hosting a takeover of a bunch of swinging couples. Desire, Hedo and other places have trained their staff for years. But the Ceiba Del Mar team was flawless. The service was top-notch, and staff were non-pulsed regardless of what activities were going on. The resort & rooms were kept immaculate, the cocktails were quickly delivered, and the food prepared to order.

Special considerations:

We are a different group, with different needs than a regular resort group. We sleep longer, stay up later, spend more money, and interact & make friends with other guests on a level people have to see to believe. Ceiba Del Mar management went all-in to win our business for years to come. They kept the pool bar open until 7:00pm and the "disco" bar open until 3:00am, they had a taco station in our makeshift disco until 2:00am, they turned a boring conference room into a romantic playroom complete with beds, towels and candles for late night fun, they had a daily lunch buffet by the pool, they had extra bartenders and beach waiters all day long, and they fulfilled special requests quickly and unflinchingly. The only thing they need to do is acquire some sound equipment and lighting for a permanent nighttime dance area, some daybeds on the beach, and maybe someone to lead some activities by the pool during the day, and Desire Resort, just up the road with its' 95% average occupancy, will have some very serious competition from our very large, affluent niche.

Overall:

We ABSOLUTELY recommend Ceiba Del Mar. Either as part of a swinging lifestyle takeover (which is once a month, the rest of the time it's a "normal" resort), or even as a regular "keep your clothes on and avoid other guests" vacation or wedding. Is it for young 20-somethings that want to party at cheesy discos? No way, it's too expensive and too far removed from the idiocy of Cancun central. Is it for families? Not really, as there probably isn't enough to keep kids occupied. It's for couples, ranging from 20's, 30's, 40's to whatever age who want an elegant, romantic boutique resort, close enough to Puerto Morelos to walk into town yet far enough away to be completely private.  We've seen a lot of resorts in the Cancun area, and this one is the best couples vacation spot.
