We came across this interesting article about a university chancellor who felt compelled to resign his position after exposure of his private sexual activities became a “distraction for students”. Further, the university is under investigation by ICE for possible visa violations relating to foreign students.

One has to wonder why what someone does in the privacy of their bedroom (or sex dungeon) has anything to do with their ability to perform on the job. Further, one also has to wonder if exposure of the chancellor’s personal sex life attracted attention from “big brother” and the visa investigation is some kind of a witch hunt.

ANNANDALE, Virginia, USA -- When the terms "university" and "dungeon" come up in the same sentence it generally means someone is studying the Spanish Inquisition or ancient castles. Not so at the for-profit University of Northern Virginia, in Annandale, where students and faculty became aware of their university chancellor's private, suburban dungeon.

According to The Smoking Gun website, David Lee, the former chancellor of the embattled UNVA, has submitted his resignation letter, claiming, “Discussions of my personal life have become a distraction for students and friends of UNVA at a time when we need to focus on more significant issues.”

By “personal life,” David Lee was referring to his enthusiasm for assorted bondage and S&M activities, not to mention a recent online ad in which he and his female partner sought “attractive submissive” women who “wish to be part of our poly family. Ideally you will consider yourself a slave or a sub with slave tendencies.”

Lee’s ad included risqué photos showing him and Regina Biscoe in action (along with shots of their suburban dungeon). One image showed the shirtless 64-year-old Lee flexing in a mirror. Two other pictured him brandishing a flame near a naked woman wearing a bondage mask.

According to the letter, Lee’s resignation was effective last Friday. By "more significant issues," Lee was most likely referring to the fact that UNVA is the subject of an ongoing Immigration and Customs Enforcement investigation into whether the school improperly exploited visa loopholes to enroll foreign students. As part of the ICE probe, federal agents last month raided the school’s Virginia office and seized computer equipment and other records.
