We are sorry to report that Grand Oasis Viva, after changing into an adults only resort, has changed their format again and is now a family friendly resort under the AMResorts brand. Following is our original report published in October 2013.
At Dream Pleasure Tours, we’re always keeping our eyes open for new vacation experiences for our customers, so you can understand why we get excited when we find out about new resorts that cater to our very special open-minded travelers. We’ve just returned from Cancun and are very pleased to welcome Grand Oasis Viva into the Dream Pleasure Tours’ family of adult-only resorts for sexy open-minded people.
The new Grand Oasis Viva, offering some 440 rooms, is located in the heart of Cancun’s entertainment district, and boasts 650 feet of beach-front, crystal clear Caribbean waters. This property is one of nine properties managed by Oasis Hotel Group, a resort company that has been operating resorts in Cancun for 25 years.
Grand Oasis Viva is an adult-only property designed to deliver an up-tempo, edgy, sexy experience to its visitors. The new general manager, Mario Velazquez, worked for another hotel group that specializes in adult oriented resorts for eleven years. The management of Oasis Hotels made Mario a part of their team a few months ago and gave him a mandate—change the resort’s concept into something sexy, stimulating and provocative where guests can have a relatively uninhibited adventure with their partners and friends, new and old… and they gave him the budget to do it. 
You can tell Mario is serious about this new concept when one of the first things he did was install two stripper poles in the middle of the disco dance floor. The changes he plans for the resort are not just superficial. The property boasts six restaurants and the concepts of a number of these are being changed to bring in a greater variety of cuisines. Expect major upgrades in the menus and wine lists (Mario was Food and Beverage Manager at one of Cancun's best resorts for many years). The property also has six bars, including the Hip Bar and Show Lounge, which is home to dancing, entertainment and the hottest dance tunes. Again, changes in liquor quality and drink options are being made to enhance the resort experience.
The resort has two ocean-facing, very large swimming pools, with over 650 feet of beach featuring palapas, day beds and lounge chairs. The infinity pool is European topless style. During the day, expect sexy and risqué poolside entertainment designed to give you a laugh and get you acquainted with fellow travelers. At night, the erotic and exotic entertainment moves indoors to the Hip Bar and Show Lounge. After the entertainment, get ready to party the night away. To meet the needs of a crowd that likes to stay up a little later, pools, hot tubs, bars and food service will be open longer than at most Cancun resorts. Extensive renovations are also underway in many of the rooms, including adding 12 brand new ocean-facing Jacuzzi suites. 
Grand Oasis Viva’s location is perfect for those of you who like to get off-site to visit the local night spots and bars. Located on Kukulkan Avenue in Punta Cancun, you can walk to many of the most famous Cancun clubs, such at Coco Bongo, Daddy O’s and the Palazzo. You’ll also be able to visit other Oasis Resorts in the Cancun area, if you want to spend a day in a different environment.
The resort is open to all open-minded adults, including singles, couples, polyamorous couples, and the sexy adventurous crowd. The resort does not allow full nudity or open sex in public, but the concept certainly facilitates consenting and open-minded adults to do what consenting and open-minded adults do. The entertainment and the atmosphere will be sexy, erotic, and provocative—designed to stimulate your senses and stir your passions. Mario is even considering an optional wristband program so those vacationers looking to hook up with other vacationers know who’s available, who’s not, and what their erotic preferences are. The resort has lots of room to re-imagine the existing spaces and layout to enhance the sexy, erotic and sensual concept. We gave Mario a number of ideas and suggestions when we visited the resort, and we’re happy to report he’s planning on incorporating many of those suggestions into the new format. While we were there the workers were busy making changes big and small. Over the next few months, as this new adult-only resort evolves, we’ll be keeping you up-to-date as we learn what improvements have been made.
