Unfortunately the Amazon cruises have been cancelled.  We just received the following announcement from Shoes Only Travel.

 The reason for our note today is to bring you an unfortunate update on the Amazon Cruise. After signing our contracts with the cruise company last November and sending in all of our deposits, etc., we were recently notified by Aqua Exhibitions that the cruse lines owner, after seeing our website, decided he does not want to charter to our style of group.
 
This is particularly troubling to us as we were very clear who we were and had provided them with our website information to have them see who we are and who our group is prior to finalizing the contract, as is our standard practice when negotiating with cruise lines or resorts. We also know, based on our tracking software that they did indeed visit our website prior to finalizing the contract. It seems that the staff never discussed this with the owner until long after the finalized contract.
 
When we got this news and realized they were not going to have a change of heart we hired an attorney in Lima to handle this for us to try and persuade them to honor their contract, which they are refusing to do.
 
While we were hoping our attorneys in Lima would be able to get a relatively quick resolution to this, based on the latest update we got from them it appears as if this could be a long, ugly battle.
 
It is with sadness that we are going to cancel the 2 Amazon trips for the moment. We are notifying all of the booked members today and have already instructed the credit card company to return the $2,000 deposits to all the members cards. Customers can expect this refund to show up their card within 5 days.
 
Obviously, this is an upsetting situation on so many levels. As you know these two river cruises were basically SOLD OUT and our members who booked, including us, were so excited about this trip. Also, we just finished the series of all the shots required L
 
In addition to the actions we have taken above, refunding deposits, etc., we would also like to note the following additional things we are doing for the members to apologize for the cancellation:
 
If we get this trip back on track we will give them first right of refusal on the same cabin at the same price   We are still crediting their Lusty Loyalty account with a completed trip.  We are also making a note in the file that their next Shoes Only Travel vacation will be at our lowest Sexy Globe Trotter Rate (reserved for those with more than 10 trips)

We are commencing with legal action against Aqua and if we do end up collecting and being made whole on our loss we will at that point forward the commissions you would have earned on a completed trip for your clients who booked.

We want to deeply apologize to you for this glitch. In 8 years of creating Exotic & Erotic vacations this has
never happened before and hopefully never will again.
