For those of you who know us at Dream Pleasure Tours, you know that we pride ourselves on our intimate knowledge of the vacations we sell.  If it’s a resort, typically we’ve been to the resort, in some case many times, we know the staff and we know the management.  If it’s a cruise, we’ve toured the ship and we personally know the people behind the cruise.  If it’s an event, we know the organizers and probably are attending the event ourselves.

So, when we were approached by this new resort to sell their vacations, we were a little hesitant because we haven’t been there, and we’d never heard of the place.  But we’ve spent a lot of time on the phone with the owners, we’ve asked all of the right questions, and our friends Sam and Whit from Quebec did visit the resort, and they’ve given us the entire run down.  Based on what we’ve found out, we’ve decided we just have to include this new resort in our list of great vacation places.

The resort is Spice Resort and it is located in Lanzarote which is one of the islands in the Canary Island Archipelago, off the coast of North Africa.  The Canary Islands are famous as the stopping off point for early navigators on their voyages to the Americas, as the trade winds gather here and sweep westerly right across the Atlantic to the Caribbean.  Today the Canary Islands are a popular vacation spot for Europeans, as well as a stopping point for cruise ships. 

Spice Resort is both clothing optional and lifestyle friendly. We’ve got a whole write up on Spice Resort, including pictures, which you can access by clicking the link at the bottom of this article.  But first, we thought it would be a good idea to tell you what Sam and Whit think of the resort. 

The following is from Sam and Whit:

The bed was one of the best we’ve ever slept on, and we travel a lot and stay in many five star hotels, so that’ saying something.  They did a great job on the hot tub.  Again, one of the best we’ve seen and certainly great for getting to know your fellow resort guests.

There is only one restaurant but the food was outstanding. The restaurant serves buffet style but it’s not your usual buffet. The selection was very good and everything well prepared. 

We also found the staff to be wonderful, with great service. And even though the Canary Islands is part of Spain, everyone at the resort spoke English.

In keeping with a lifestyle friendly resort there is a playroom and disco, and both are nicely done.  In addition to partying at the resort, it is only a few minutes walk from the resort to the main part of town where you’ll find a host of restaurants, bars and clubs.  It’s worth getting out one night to have a look around town. 

The resort is not beachfront but the beach is only a few minutes walk. The resort is also very close to the airport—literally a five to ten minute drive, which makes it really convenient.

What a great vacation. The atmosphere is absolutely sexy. All the details have been thought out. The staff is top notch and the food is fantastic. If you’re looking for a sexy break, Spice is exactly what you need.
