The Nudist lifestyle began in Florida with Lake Como over 70 years ago. But, Caliente Resort is evident of how much our lifestyle has evolved. Caliente was opened in 2004, in what many enthusiasts and critics called a saturated market. However, quality always rises to the top. Caliente is going stronger than ever. Though it began as a Nudist-only resort, they quickly changed to a clothing optional policy in order to be more inclusive. The resort does require nudity in the pool areas, except on special occasions.

The entrance to Caliente is like a first-class Vegas resort. One can feel the excitement in the air upon arrival. Visitors’ attention is immediately drawn to two large bar areas, and a piano bar section that are very elegant and well decorated. Nearby is also a very elegant fine dining area that serves excellent cuisine. A roomy nightclub with a large dance floor is rocking almost every night of the week with events like Ladies Night or karaoke, or some other fun theme party.

The swimming pool area has two levels. One level has an extra large conversation pool where one can enjoy a cocktail, and a hot tub large enough for a group or party. There is also a huge lagoon pool and a soaking pool on a lower level, near the 'Si Como No' bar. For those guests interested in being more active, Caliente also has volleyball pools and sand courts, and even a few tennis courts.

Caliente is also famous. In 2005 with Paris Hilton filmed a television show on the resort, and another pilot for a reality show is still pending launch.
