Our very own Gary Booth has been on the road again, and has this great report as he travels from Dallas through Oklahoma to Missouri to a Memorial Day Swingers Convention, and then on to Mississippi.

After recharging my batteries in the Dallas area for a few days, it was time to head out on the second leg of the Dream Pleasure Tours’ Southeastern Tour.

Heading north along Interstate 45 north out of Dallas, Texas soon turns into Oklahoma. Crossing the Red River, I started to notice the caravans of semi-trucks and emergency responders heading north with me.  This was only two days after the devastating tornado struck the Moore, OK area and help was on the way. My average speed of 65 mph suddenly dropped to 10 mph as I slowly made my way through the affected area. It is hard to explain, but the only way I can describe it is to say it looked like a war zone. There was complete destruction from the ground up on both sides of the interstate for over half a mile. How anyone could have survived is a true miracle. Our thoughts are with all those who lost friends and family members. A huge“thank you” goes out to the rescuers and first responders. These fine folks put their lives on the line each time they respond to any disaster.

My next stop was the 4-SPC Memorial Convention in Neosho, Missouri. This yearly convention is hosted by Dream Pleasure Tours’ longtime friends, Linda and Rudy(also known as the Rooster Boosters). The 4-SPC Memorial Day Weekend Convention began as a small bike wash in the parking lot of a motel with the idea of raising awareness of ways to help children who couldn't help themselves and need help to keep them safe from their predators.

Linda & Rudy host this convention each year on Memorial Day weekend to raise awareness for Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A). This is a national organization of bikers ready and willing to empower abused children to feel safe in the world in which they live. The purpose is to serve and protect children who have been neglected and abused, with the expanded purpose of assisting physically and emotionally abused children everywhere and preventing all types of abuse of children before it starts, all across the nation.

This four day convention raised several thousand dollars for B.A.C.A.and DPT had lots of great prizes to give away. I even got to see the world famous vibrator races. Part of the fun was a barbeque dinner, complete with all the fixings, smoked right there at the party. Where else can you get great food, sexy women and some of the coolest bikes in the U.S.A.?

I went on my first motorcycle rally, winding through the back roads of Missouri for 145 miles. I can now say I have seen “God’s Country”. I learned to play motorcycle rally poker and something called Windshield Bug Splat BINGO. I learned what the term “road dog” means. These bikers are the nicest people out there and are willing to do anything it takes to protect children.

Before you get too excited, I was not on a bike myself, but followed up in a chase car called Speed Buggy. I am happy to say I even remembered how to change a flat tire without calling A.A.A. Poor Speed Buggy blew a tire on us, but true to southern hospitality, people stopped to offer help, tire jacks and even water.

There was a large share of partying and late night fun with great music and even a little pole dancing. The hotel was sold out and we had the place to ourselves. Nightly parties and late night dips in the pool were just part of the fun.

To top all this off,Linda and Rudy headed out to Desire, after only four days of rest, for their annual Rooster Booster trip. This will be their 5th trip with Dream Pleasure Tours.
