With regular “vanilla” resorts (you know, the ones with all the annoying kids and the grannies that go to bed by 9:00pm), things can stay the same for a long time. There are so many of them that a regular traveler can go from resort to resort, year after year, and never have to go back to the same resort twice. But when it comes to swinger, lifestyle and clothing-optional resorts, the selection is not nearly as great. In comparison, there are significantly fewer options (although we are glad to say it looks like there will be more resorts coming in the future) and many of our guests have been to a given resort, not once or twice, but many times over. That’s why we make such a big deal out of it when we see the resorts we represent putting their profits into enhancing your vacation experience. You’re important to us and we want you to be well taken care of when you visit the resorts we sell.
A perfect example of this is Desire Pearl. We are excited because Original Resorts took our advice and added a new restaurant to the line-up at Pearl. Currently, you already have two great choices for your culinary delights - Aphrodite, serving international cuisine from the menu or buffet, or Pearl, with two distinct menus - one featuring Italian cuisine, the other offering kitchen delights from Spain and Lebanon. Now Desire Pearl has added a third restaurant (yes, that’s right—three restaurants to cater to just 90 couples).
This new restaurant is Suki Terrace and, as you can guess from the name, the cuisine is distinctly Asian with a strong Japanese influence. Also, you can expect an Original Resorts twist that brings an international flavor to these fundamentally Asian delights. Consider some of these epicurean delicacies we found on the menu:
- Smoked salmon or fresh salmon sashimi drizzled with tamarind Thai chili sauce
- Jicama rolls stuffed with crab, avocado, and cucumber with ponzu sauce
- Rolls filled with shrimp, onion, roasted Jalapeno chilies and drizzled with mango sauce
- Rolls filled with octopus, mayonnaise and red curry
- Crab, shrimp and avocado salad with lime and ponzu sauce dressing.
These are only a few of the highlights you’ll find at Suki. In addition to many other sushi and sashimi offerings, you’ll find a well-rounded selection of sake and many specialty cocktails.
When you dine at Suki, you’ll find the dining experience is meant to be upscale, but friendly. Men wear tropical casuals, including long pants and collared shirts. For ladies, evening wear or sexy-sensual outfits are welcome. The restaurant is set up with bar chair-type seating, with most tables having eight chairs to the table. This layout is the perfect setting for you and your partner to meet and get to know other guests at the resort before you head off to the disco or the gigantic, anything-goes hot tub.
